POULSBO, WASHINGTON
This is the first picture to date on Light-Fixation where I appeared as the subject rather than the photographer. Figured this was earned after two long years of late nights filled with books and computers. Thank you to photographer Patrick Torres for capturing this and many other great images during the past year.

Mother fox is returning from the hunt with food in her mouth to feed five young ones at the den. The family has been living just off one of the busier roads in town for the last month – wildly being stalked by the nature paparazzi.

Readers have spoken and the “yeas” have it. Beginning June 2, 2008 Light-Fixation will return in a photo-of-the-week format. The best image from the week will be posted each Monday morning and sent to subscribers by email on the same day. Thanks for the support and please feel free to pass this link along to others.

The final month of graduate school has taken its toll on this site as updating Light-Fixation has become a low priority given limited time resources. At this point I remain undecided if this project will resume after school ends on June 22, 2008. If you would like to continue receiving daily photo updates, please send a quick email to scjansen@gmail.com and I will weigh the response when making a decision.
